Processing the files

Once you've set the values in the Browser window, you're ready to process the files; choose Tools > Process. This applies all the values you've set to all the files you've marked for processing - whether or not they're in the current selection.

Choosing local or batch processing

You can use local or batch processing:

The batch system queues the files for processing. How soon they're processed depends on how the batch system is configured, and how much other work is queued for the batch system to do. For more details of the batch system, see Using the batch system.

To choose which type of processing to use:

  1. Choose Tools > Preferences.
The Preferences panel appears:
  1. Choose Local or Batch processing.
  1. Click on OK.
